The UBS Business University integrates UBS's Talent Development and Leadership and Management development learning capabilities under a single virtual roof. It aligns the training and education activities for UBS employees around the world, and establishes a center of excellence that promotes a culture of continuous improvement.
About 80% of this role is focused on the design, delivery and evaluation of Leadership Management Development (LMD) trainings for new and experienced managers from the UBS Business University offering with regional responsibility for the following:
Key tasks and responsibilities include:
• Managing the Strategic Planning Process to identify LMD needs, plan programs, schedule programs and ensure publication/marketing of programs for the region
• Managing rollout of LMD trainings in Hong Kong and some additional defined countries in close collaboration with regional UBS Business University colleagues and business partners
• Working with global design teams to evaluate, design and build a consistent high impact offering meeting regional and local needs which may include leadership development as well as executive development initiatives
• Working with Hong Kong-based Learning Head to implement learning intiatives meeting the strategic and business needs of the local entity e.g. leadership connection series
• Develop and deliver smaller regional requests building on the strategic offering
Delivery AS LEAD TRAINER of trainings in Hong Kong and occasionally in other APAC locations (with fluency in Chinese and Mandarin) - for the core offerings of management level trainings
• Being the contact person or the Adjunct Faculty for Hong Kong and defined countries
• Working closely with Alex DeSilva (Singapore) to co-lead the community of practice in the area of LMD across the region and work closely with other global and regional program managers to ensure high impact, integrated leadership and management development strategy and offer for UBS
• Managing costs within area of responsibility
About 20% of this role is focused on the design, delivery and evaluation of Talent Development Programs (in particular as the Graduate Training Program). As a Program Manager they play a critical part in leading and managing this development program by working in collaboration with the Global Program Management team on all aspects of design, execution and communication for the program events. These program require careful planning, strategic thinking, senior mangaement engagement, communication, and follow-up to ensure a seamless experience for participants. Responsibilities include the following:
• Running and managing some of the talent program events in the location (core/offsite and regional momentum events) and all elements pre, during and post - handling both large scale strategy and very specific details. Play different roles at events/ programs as needed: host/emcee, facilitator, coach, debriefing - and monitor overall feel, flow and design by attending breakout sessions, observing group dynamics, discussing with participants as the program unfolds
• Contributing to the design of the overall program elements in collaboration with the Global team and key vendor partners. Brainstorm new ideas and improvements to the existing program. Regional origination and design of momentum events
• Working closely with participants and managers - as program manager and coach - through ongoing communication, brieings, supporting action learning teams and sponsors, etc. Day to day point of contact, regular communication. Career 'guidance' to participants as necessary, new manager briefings
• Managing costs and within area of responsibility and contributing to regional/global program management calls and program decisions
• Partnering with other key talent program managers to manage and facilitate our key talent programs taking place in Hong Kong e.g. graduate training, Ops Associate program
Requirements:
Our ideal candidate should have the following requisites:
- More than 5 years work experience in the field of Key Talent AND/or Leadership Management Development
- Fluent in English and Mandarin
- Understanding of leadership models and industry best practices
- Experience working in a global financial institution or MNC with matrix reporting structures and in high impact training design and delivery
- Strong program management/partnership and influencing skills
- Very good facilitation skills
- Willingness to work off-office hours (global conf calls) and travel occasionally
