Lean Finance Transformation Project Manager
Role Description:
The Engineering Lead will play a predominant role within “strategic” projects – an intense methodology which includes mind-set transformations for a specific scope: e.g. a specific product area and location, or cross product and global. The candidate will need an extensive knowledge of the Lean 5D methodology and help apply the Lean tools in the most effective way to guarantee successful delivery within the timeframe.
The candidate will be a catalyst for change to facilitate significant performance improvement within his project and will gain a holistic view of the overall strengths and weaknesses of a department.
Core objectives include: Lead the delivery of targeted process reviews utilising Business Engineering tools, assist management with the setting of targets and lead a team of 6-8 individuals. Frequent interaction with senior management interaction gives the candidate high responsibility and visibility.
Responsibilities:
- Typically conducting projects as part of a team, using the 5D LEAN methodology
- Root cause analysis of identified problem areas
- Key metric definition and ongoing performance review
- Challenging the current operating environment
- Identifying innovative value added solutions
- Documentation and presentation of findings
- Project planning and implementation
- Stakeholder/relationship management
- Team management/daily huddles
Managing the project progression on a day-to-day and mitigating issues/risks
Experience required:
- Lean or Process improvement/re-engineering experience.
- Visionary, able to design appealing visions of the future/ thinking out of the box.
- Never satisfied with current performance/searching for perfection/attracted by tough challenges.
- Risk-friendly, able to take a decision quickly without mastering all parameters.
- Project management qualification.
- Lean or Six Sigma or Lean Six Sigma Certification.
- Consultancy experience.
