Legal Administrator
Job Background/context:
Markets Legal is a team of circa 50 lawyers and legal professionals supporting the Fixed Income and Equity Sales, Trading and Derivatives Businesses. The successful candidate will work alongside 5 other secretaries in Markets Legal.

Key Responsibilities:
Includes, but not limited to:
- Providing a strong administrative/secretarial support role to the team (phones, mail etc).
- Diary management, organisation of meetings.
- Assistance with data capture and Sharepoint sites.
- Expenses and invoice processing.
- Photocopying/scanning as required.
- Preparation of travel plans and itineraries.
- Preparation of documents, document alteration and tracking.
- Basic research tasks.
- Other administrative assistance as needed.
Development Value:
- The successful candidate will be required to make decisions about priority of workload.
- Becoming an integral part of the Markets Legal team.
- Establishing good relationships within the team and with internal/external contacts.
- Work well alongside other secretaries within the Legal department.
- Familiarising him/herself with all the policies, procedures and work methods of the department.
- Providing a fast and efficient turnaround of tasks.
Knowledge/Experience:
- The candidate should have experience working with a legal department within finance or a Legal Firm.
- The candidate should have experience working as a secretary for a team of people.
Skills:
- Outlook / Word / Excel / PowerPoint - Essential.
- Strong IT skill set.
- Strong administrative/secretarial skills.
- Efficiency, confidentiality, accuracy, attention to detail, methodical and excellent organisational skills are a must for this role.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Qualifications:
- Good administrative/secretarial background is required.
- Candidates must be well versed in office administration and have a good command of English grammar.
Exceptional candidates who do not meet these criteria may be considered for the role provided they have the necessary skills and experience.
