LEGAL ADVISOR recruitment
Based in Hong Kong, you will provide commercially sensitive, pragmatic and practical legal support and advice to the Fund Services business. You will be proactive in the provision of legal support and in advising the business promptly of material legal developments and their implications. You will ensure the Team Head is fully briefed on major issues arising in relevant business area and major legislative changes in area of expertise. Last but not least, you will build and maintain positive and effective relationship with panel law firms and other appropriate external parties, as well as contribute to the promotion of initiatives that result in the sharing of legal knowledge and best practice across the Regional/Global Legal team function.
To qualify, you must be a common law qualified lawyer with at least 4 years PQE. You will have experience of trust and funds, offshore and on shore, regulated and non regulated. Experience on ETF highly preferred. Knowledge of custody and settlement, provision of credit to funds and derivatives would be useful. You will have a significant number of years of experience in regulatory matters, preferably in relation to Hong Kong and the Cayman Islands.
