Legal Analyst Job in Eagan 55123, Minnesota Us

The position requires reviewing and analyzing court cases, trial court documents (including pleadings, motions, expert testimony and orders), arbitration awards, and legal periodicals as well content available in websites of law firms, corporations, government organizations, and courts. Analysis will vary and will include editorial activities such as in-depth analysis and review of documents, selection of content for inclusion in profiles of attorneys, judges and arbitrators, and assisting with troubleshooting of issues related to linking of documents and profiles according to pre-established standards and guidelines. Review and analysis will be performed under the direction of a senior attorney editor or project lead.

REQUIREMENTS:

Education:
J.D. / Law Degree is Required

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Strong understanding of technology and familiarity with Internet research.

  • Ability to search/read/review documents online and summarize results of analysis in desired format

  • Ability to input data into Thomson Reuters editorial systems and Microsoft Excel spreadsheets.

  • Ability to meet deadlines and complete analysis according to established quality and productivity standards.
