Legal Counsel Insurance recruitment
Our client is a well known listed global financial services organisation with significant operations in Europe, Asia, and the US. It has a broad range of products across insurance and asset management. The Asia business is well established and has offices in all major financial centres including Hong Kong, Singapore, China, Japan, Korea and Malaysia.
Due to continued growth an excellent opportunity exists to join the regional legal team. The role reports directly to the Head of Legal for Asia. The role would ideally be located in Hong Kong but it could also be based in Singapore.
The role will be interesting and varied. This will include work across mergers and acquisitions and joint ventures, as well as intellectual property, employment and IT related matters.
The role requires a candidate with 6 or more years PQE. You will ideally be qualified in a common law jurisdiction and prior In-House experience is essential. The ideal candidate will possess solid experience in Asian cross-border corporate and commercial matters. Experience in Hong Kong listing rules or insurance is preferred but not essential. The role requires fluency in English and Chinese language skills although helpful are not essential. The role is regional so some travel is required although it is not onerous.
