Legal Counsel

You'll report directly to the lead legal counsel to Swiss Re's global Direct Investments unit, which has
locations in Zurich, London, Hong Kong and New York.
Your main role will be to support our group-wide corporate development transactions (strategic
acquisitions, divestitures, joint ventures) and private equity investments in a variety of jurisdictions.
Day to day, you'll work with legal and compliance colleagues, as well as outside counsel, to offer advice
and solutions to our business teams.
The transactional work will be complex, sensitive and time critical. Your job is to ensure that all related
legal and regulatory issues are dealt with promptly and appropriately.
Being part of the team that provides legal support to our global Direct Investments unit requires sound
judgement and a head for commercial / MA law. Do you have what it takes to make a valuable
contribution to this dynamic group?

You have a law degree and are admitted to
practice.
You have a strong background in commercial law,
including mergers and acquisitions, with at least
five years' experience in a major law firm or
international company.
You're fluent in English and additional languages
would be a plus. You are an experienced team
player with a common-sense approach to your
work.
You're resilient to stress and can be relied on to
meet challenging deadlines, while never taking
your eye off the details.
