Legal Office Cashier

A leading City law firm is seeking an experienced Legal office Cashier. The job, based in central London, will suit a Legal Cashier with proven experience in the legal sector, good communication skills and good knowledge of Solicitors Accounts Rules. Elite experience would be preferred but is not essential.

Key areas of responsibility will include to investigate and allocate cheques to matters in settlement of outstanding debts or other receipts into office accounts, prepare cheques for banking, reviewing bank accounts online and collating remittance advices for electronic receipts and arrange for any unpaid professional fees on paid invoices to be paid immediately in line with SARs. The applicant will also have full responsibility for the firms accounts payable, payment runs, disbursements and cashbook reconciliations. It will also be expected for the Office Cashier to provide cover for the Client Cashier for holiday cover.
