Lending Manager – Credit – Business & Commercial Banking recruitment
Our client, a high profile financial services institution are looking to hire a number of managers for their team based in Dublin. The individual is expected to display behaviours reflective of well managed growth: delivering high performance within a quality framework.
The role:
- Evaluate existing and new business applications in line with relevant strategies
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness in credit grading in an assigned portfolio
- Quantify potential loan losses and manage within expected levels
- Responsibility for ensuring that relevant credit unit processes are adhered to
- Implement remedial action plans for vulnerable cases
- Achieve agreed service standards
- Manage the level of excess positions or arrears that occur in the assigned portfolio
The Candidate's skillset:
- Analyse credit implications and make informed decisions to generate sustained profit
- Exercise a lending discretion
- Monitor and control credit exposure to balance long term asset quality with customers’ needs
- Develop a good rapport with customers and demonstrate effective negotiation skills
- Proactively influence credit quality
- Ability to make recommendations following analysis of credit date and statistical information
- Ability to deal with increasingly complex information
- Ability to lead and influence a team of commercial lenders.
