Leveraged Finance Associate (w/m)
Main responsibilities
Depending on the level of experience a candidate already has, he/she will be involved in the below tasks with an increasing level of responsibility:
- Preparation and review of financial models in analyzing the debt capacity of specific targets based on senior and junior debt instruments incl. high yield bonds and mezzanine solutions
- Preparation pre-screening memos and credit papers for leveraged finance transactions
- Preparation of financing pitches for financial sponsors
- Interaction with several departments incl. risk, syndication and high yield capital markets but also TMT, Infrastructure and Natural Resources finance
- Co-operation with the CEE bank network of SG Group for buyout transactions in the region as well as MA for joint client pitches
- Review of portfolio transactions and related waivers in co-operation with the local middle office team
- Knowledge transfer to and quality control / coaching of junior team members
- Execution responsibility of specific project tasks
- Be a key team member in day to day project execution work
- Keep up to date about debt and equity related issues
Experience and technical skills
- Bachelor or Master’s degree in Finance or Business Administration
- 3 - 5 years relevant work experience specifically in corporate finance executing transactions with a leading bank or advisory house
- Very strong technical / analytical skills
- Experience with transactions in German-speaking region, ideally mid-cap and/or large-cap LBO involvement
- Excellent command and superior user knowledge of MS Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
- Fluency in both German and English
