The basic purpose of the position is to: identify and maximize new account sales and cross-sell opportunities, utilize customer profiling; open accounts by matching customer needs to bank products and services; perform all new account opening and customer service activities; and handle and resolve all customer service issues and problems.
Ideal candidates will have: NYS Life Insurance license (if the candidate is unlicensed at the time of hire, the successful candidate must obtain a NYS Life Insurance license within one month) and recent experience in a Personal Banker role in another financial institution with strong sales skills and customer service experience; Associate's degree in Business preferred, excellent verbal and written communication skills required; retail banking experience preferred; strong interpersonal, time management, and PC skills preferred.
