LIFE MODELLING ANALYSTS recruitment
One Analyst should have at least 1 – 3 years experience in a risk management/mathematical modelling orientated role ideally, and the other can be of graduate calibre (Phd, Msc, or Undergraduate with 1 year relevant work experience). Degree must be from a highly quantitative subject such as Financial Maths or Physics). The purpose of this role is to deliver support and training to clients who use the software. The successful candidate will report to the Senior Analyst and will have responsibility for a wide range of tasks including: client technical support, delivery of client training, assisting in model calibrations review and sign off, automation of existing internal processes and production of bespoke client deliverables under supervision of the senior member of the team.
Core Responsibilities:
- Maintaining and developing client relationships: responding to client queries and creating support documentation.
- Assisting with model calibration and sign-off.
- Developing internal processes to automate delivery of bespoke client services.
- Working with clients and other team members on consulting assignments.
- Working with the research team to deliver new models for our economic scenario generator and calibration tools.

Core Requirements:
- Knowledge of financial mathematics (e.g. stochastic process, Monte Carlo techniques, derivative pricing, interest-rate modelling) and experience in financial institution (e.g. within an investment bank or insurance company) would be advantageous.
- Professional qualification including CFA, FRM or similar would be advantageous.
- Experience of Excel/VBA.
- Knowledge of insurance, pensions and/or retail financial industries is desirable.
- Experience of one of C++, Java or C# is desirable.
- First and/or higher degree (PhD, MSc) in highly quantitative subject (Maths/Financial Maths, Physics, etc).
- Work experience, in a relevant discipline (e.g. within an investment bank, insurance company, academic institution or consultancy).
- Studying towards professional qualification including CFA, FRM or similar would be advantageous.
