Life Sciences Senior Manager
- Engagement Management: Lead engagement planning and budgeting; mobilize and manage engagement teams; define deliverable structure and content; facilitate buy–in of proposed solutions from top management levels at the client; direct on–time, quality delivery of work products; manage engagement economics; manage engagement risk
- Client Management: Manage day to day interactions with executive clients and sponsors
- Business Development: Develop and maintain contact with top decision makers at key clients; organize and lead pursuit teams; participate and lead aspects of the proposal development process; contribute to the development of proposal pricing strategies
- Practice Development Eminence: Develop practical solutions and methodologies; develop "thought ware" and "point–of–view" documents; participate in public speaking events; get published in industry periodicals People Development: Perform role of counselor and coach; provide input and guidance into the staffing process; actively participate in staff recruitment and retention activities; provide leadership and support for delivery teams and staff in local offices
- Strong consulting and regulatory experience in the Life Sciences/Health Care vertical is required with a minimum of 4–6 years experience in regulatory compliance
- Experience in selling and delivering knowledge process outsourcing services (KPO) in the Life Sciences/Health Care vertical
- Experience with regulatory compliance requirements for the Life Sciences Industry:
- Health Care Professionals (HCP) payments including Payments Sunshine Act
- Government Pricing
- Good Clinical Practice(GCP)/Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP)
- Electronic Common Technical Document Submissions (cCTD submissions)
- Sales and marketing compliance
- Promotional Quality Assurance (PQA)
- Experience with data analytics, managed analytics is preferred
- Experience selling and delivering annuity based outsourcing services
- Ability to manage engagements, clinch large deals and chase a revenue target
- Experience in Client Management and client relationship
- Able to rapidly build and sustain long–term relationships, based on trust and consistent delivery to expectations
- Understanding and experience of the sales pipeline
- Ability to qualify, scope and close opportunities, managing relationships across different customer and internal groups
- Relevant certifications (ITIL, Lean Six Sigma, Regulatory Affairs Certification (RAC), etc.)
- Experience working with onsite–offshore engagement delivery and outsourcing business model
- BA/BBA/BS in Accounting, Finance or business related field required
- MBA/MS/MA degree is desired
- CPA, CFA, CIA, CISA, or CISSP certification is a plus
- 10+ years related experience required
- 5+ years prior performance management experience required
- Prior public accounting or consulting experience is preferred
- Proficiency in MS office products, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint is required
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong technical and organization skills
- Analytical and detail oriented
- Team oriented
- Ability and willingness to travel 75%
- Provide engagement management and/or participate in development of methodology
- Play lead role in client retention, relationship building, and communication
- Play lead role in internal and external communication/deliverable quality including technical content of reports, proposals, etc.
- Develop, participate in, and deliver client proposals
- Demonstrate high level of understanding of clients business
- Demonstrate strong knowledge in industry or functional specialty
- Play lead role in management planning, economics, and billing
- Assist engagement leader to determine service specifications
- Deliver services that meet Deloitte Touche's engagement leader specifications
- Meet assigned sales target/team sales targets
- High visibility in functional or industry specialty
- Participate in professional civic organizations
- Produce material for internal and external publications
- Participate in public speaking in internal and external events
- Mold the individuals on the engagement into a team
- Responsible for oversight or advisee on training and development program
- Evaluate, counsel, mentor and provide feedback on performance of others
- Play substantive/lead role in retention of professionals and in building staff complement, mix, and recruiting
- Play substantive/lead role in developing a strong relationship with internal resources
