Linguistic QA Job in Foster City, California US

We currently have an immediate requirement for a Linguistic QA in Foster City, CA. This is a 6 months+ Contract position.
Linguistic QA/Project Manager
* Perform quality assurance for localized user interface.
* Provide QA support to localization project manager on assigned projects.
* Work very closely with localization project manager to support him/her to assure project success.
* Understand product specifications and identify possible pitfalls in localization.
* Prepare QA kits for linguists.
* Support linguists when they come onsite to provide guidance to them.
* Maintain technical environments for reproducing issues for troubleshooting
* Track localization bugs across assigned projects for all languages.
Minimum Job Qualifications
* 2 years of experience in testing client / server / internet applications
* Linguistic and project management skills.
* Solid in-depth knowledge of internationalization and localization issues
* Ability to work on a team and independently
* Ability to juggle multiple issues simultaneously
* Self-starting, proactive, charismatic attitude
* Fluency in at least one European language
Preferable Job Qualifications
* Bachelor degree in Computer Science, related technical degree or equivalent work experience
* Candidate must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and be proactive about working with others, including communicating with vendors and clients
* Understanding of the translation industry and its technologies
* Linguistic and project management skills.
* Fluency in English and European languages
