Load Balancing, Security & Network Engineer recruitment
A leading global provider of critical information to decision makers in the financial, legal, tax and accounting, scientific, healthcare, and media markets, powered by the world's most trusted news organisation is seeking a Network Engineer with strong networking, load balancing and security skills.
You will take responsibility for working on tasks, incidents, projects throughout the datacenter networks per approved change window and architectural guidelines. The engineer will work on various network hardware/software but biased towards Cisco Routers, Switches and Load balancers. You will work to ensure that network devices are implemented, maintained and highly available as deployed for the business' applications and will produce a detailed documentation set that includes implementation instructions for handover to implementation resources and implementation of configuration on customer-facing devices.
Mandatory skills:
* Good experience as a Network Engineer must include solid experience in a Web-Hosting environment
* Analytical and detail oriented
* Excellent written and verbal communications
* Have good level of knowledge of Cisco routers, switches, load balancing and security concepts; BGP/VRF routing concepts, IP/ARP/MAC/Spanning-tree issues and configurations, troubleshooting VLAN or physical connectivity for servers and other devices, troubleshooting Cisco access-list, NAT issues.
* Have thorough knowledge of TCP/IP protocols, flags and be able to troubleshoot connectivity issues using Wireshark/Tcpdump/snoop.
* Knowledge of data centre L2/L3
Desired Skills
* Minimum of Cisco CCNP qualification with CCDA and CCDP preferred
