Essential Functions:
• Execute trades (primary and secondary) based on the recommendation by the firm’s Investment Committee
• Maintain and develop agent and broker/dealer relationships
• Communicate daily market chatter/color to the investments team
• Analyze market trends/early reads and provides team with regular updates
• Responsible for sourcing hard-to-find assets for additional alpha
• Ensure the firm is evaluating the entire market by keeping close contact with major loan market participants
• Assist with underwriting and monitoring of a limited number of loan transactions
Job Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field
• At least 5 years of experience in leveraged loan trading, preferably at an asset management firm
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret technical materials such as market analyses, financial reports and/or legal documents
• Ability to make effective and persuasive presentations on controversial or complex topics to top management and respond effectively to the most intricate inquiries and/or challenges
• Ability to utilize the Bloomberg Terminal to analyze market data, communicate with and execute trades with the broker/dealer community
• Demonstrated ability to use Microsoft office suite including Word, Outlook and Excel
