Loans Settlements Analyst

Leading bank in Glasgow is currently looking to recruit in their Loan Agency space. Candidate would have sufficient experience or understanding of the area including loan administration preferably in Loan Agency Settlements.

Overview: -

Loan Operations Analyst - Working within Operational Loan Settlements Area servicing client commercial loan facilities, traded loans on the Secondary Market.

Main responsibilities: -

· Loan Operations is the commercial loan processing department of Operations Division. It services all operational aspects of several billion pounds worth of commercial loans denominated in a variety of different currencies.
· Loans are an essential part of corporate financing. Corporate loans can range from acquisition/ trade financing to revolving facilities, which aid short/ medium term cash flows.
· Manage Primary Syndication working directly with the syndicate desk
· To provide first line support to clients’ transaction requests
· Work with Management on new projects, restructuring and all complex facilities
· Provide wider support for the entire Loan Operations team as and when required
· Work with global team on development of Loan automation
· Manage project for eradicating DTCC reconciliation breaks caused due to incorrect data population
· Engagement in loan product development strategy and it’s execution
· Populate and present MIS to Loans senior management with updates on any projects involved
· Ensure all days work is processed, approved and all control checks are effected
· Assist SLA to handle loan portfolio specific functions, including interpretation of loan documentation

Professional/technical experience

· Previous strong experience of loan administration preferably in Loan Agency Settlements
· Knowledge of credit agreements
· Knowledge of various Information Systems (including Customer Information Systems)
· Understanding of Payment and Funding Mechanisms
· Ability to challenge and streamline processes
· Preferred experience in using ACBS or Loan IQ
· Client interaction skills, including with senior borrowers/ investors and business and technology contacts
· Strong communication skills both written and oral
· A high level of education including higher grade or equivalent qualifications
