Logistics Engineer
Job Summary
The Logistics Engineer assists in the development of logistics and supply chain solutions for new and existing customers. Incumbent will work as a member of the Logistics Solutions team to develop solutions to generate new business opportunities as well as to increase opportunities with existing customers.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Assemble data from varied sources in formats appropriate to the specific analysis.
- Participate on Project Teams in the design of solutions and preparation of proposals.
- Research labor, transportation, and equipment costs.
- Use network modeling techniques to design and optimize transportation solutions.
- Use spreadsheets, Visio, AutoCAD, SST Model, and world class warehousing techniques to design and optimize solutions.
- Assist in operation implementations.
- Assist in customer presentations.
- Assist in demonstrating logistics tools.
- Train team members on logistics analytical tools (MOST, CASS, Optiant, Paragon, i2 Technologies and Flexsim
- Key member of Project teams in the design, validation and preparation of proposals.
- Demonstrable expertise with CEVA's Pricing methods. Review team member Cost Models. Expert in CAPEX.
- Participate in the Customer presentations. Offer expert logistics knowledge and experience.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Logistics, or related field is required. At least two (2) years experience in Logistics is required, five (5) years preferred.

- Must have excellent project management and team building skills.
- Demonstrated professionalism and must have a high degree of logic, initiative, self-organization, and creativeness.
- Demonstrated Financial, Logistics, and Business Developments skills required.
- Organizational skills and the ability to prioritize in demanding environments with tight deadlines.
Travel
- Up to 20% travel may be required for this position.
- Position may also be located in Jacksonville, FL or Houston, TX
