Essential Functions
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, projects such as exam printing, fulfillment and distribution; exam processing and grading; recruiting and hiring essay graders; and generating and distributing exam results.
- Plan and oversee logistics and grading projects surrounding the CFA examination program
- Define project schedule, develop and implement project plan, ensure collaboration with appropriate parties, and meet departmental deadlines using available resources
- Identify and acquire resources (e.g. software/hardware, staff, facility)
- Manage project execution, including issue resolution and change management
- Develop and document unit policies and procedural documentation to meet project requirement (e.g., quality, accuracy, security, efficiency, fairness and equitability)
- Evaluate project performance and outcomes
- Supervise project staff (temporary staff and CFA Institute staff volunteers)
- Source and lead project teams in a manner that ensures all work is completed accurately, efficiently, on time, and within budget
- Provide adequate training to project staff
- Develop project staff (temporary and CFA Institute volunteers) for leadership and/or expanded responsibilities to build and maintain the grading infrastructure
- Manage project staff performance and retention
- Manage vendor and internal service provider relationships
- Assess resource requirements and evaluate vendor/internal service providers
- Participate in vendor contract and agreement negotiations
- Ensure vendors perform per Service Level Agreements; escalate issues as necessary
- Define and manage budget for project deliverables
- Direct vendor/internal service providers to achieve desired outcome
- Develop and maintain communications related to project planning, execution, and outcomes
- Determine and communicate project details and deadlines that directly impact other work groups and departments as well as vendors/internal service providers
- Develop communications regarding CFA examination administration and grading to better serve stakeholders, enforce CFA Institute policies and procedures, and uphold integrity of the CFA Program
- Manage escalated stakeholder communications
- Manage project budget
- Approve charges and track expenses
- Assess and document cases when budget variances are required
- Compile and recommend annual budget information
Qualifications
Education/Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience required
- Minimum 2-3 years of general business experience
- Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to address challenges in an innovative and resourceful manner preferred
- Very high level of organizational and time management skills
- Flexibility in competently juggling competing priorities and changing expectations
- Excellent communication skills including written, verbal, listening, and presentation
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills including a professional and diplomatic demeanor
- Strong team orientation with the ability to lead and work cross functionally
- Ability to create new and unique ideas and an entrepreneurial spirit a plus
- Must demonstrate outstanding judgment and mature business skills
- Willingness to ask questions rather than just follow directions
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information with a high degree of professionalism
- Proficient using standard office software such as Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook

Travel Requirements
- Occasional domestic and international travel may be required; approximately 5-10% of the time
