Logistics Material Operations Manager
Growing Logistics company is seeking a Material/Operations Manager for our TOLEDO, OH location.
Brief Description:
To manage the daily operations and IBT cost of the logistics network for the customer. Ensure all route change requests are being processed with accuracy and all carriers are delivering material to the scheduled windows. Point of contact for customer senior leadership on all logistics issues. Also responsible for carrier sourcing and contacts, IBT budgeting and analysis, carrier performance and new business analysis.
Key Accountabilities:
*Manage daily operations of logistics network.
*Prepare and submit RFQ to carrier base and award business accordingly.
*Manage IBT costs and update weekly IBT metrics.
*Ensure appropriate personal are in place to support customer.
*Create KPI's that drive business results.
*Manage carrier relationships and build carrier network.
*Develop and Implement continuous improvement solutions for the transportation network.
*Develop process and procedure to improve operations. *Handle emergency shipments as required.
*Demonstrated proficiency in time and project management.
*Thorough knowledge of supply chain operations.
*Demonstrated success in the ability to consistently multi-task.
