Our client is a very successful long/ short equity hedge fund, who are looking for two buy side equity/ investment analysts to join them.
The role will focus on the analysis of equity investments, long/ short trades, conducting in depth analysis of companies, identifying catalysts for a change in value of a holding. You will be expected to be able to both give an accurate ‘on the spot’ analysis of a situation or position, as well as being prepared to conduct more detailed fundamental analysis.
They are keen on meeting equity analysts, industry professionals, accountants, investment bankers or strategy consultants. If a banker, you will have been trained in mergers and acqusitions or levereaged finance. If a consultant - probably with Bain, McKinsey, LEK or similar.
Candidates do need to demonstrate a real interest in financial markets and an interest in investing. You will have an outstanding academic record, humility and an interest in carrying out detailed financial analysis.
