Loss Prevention/Safety Engineers (Saudi Arabia, Interview in London)
LONG TERM EXPAT CONTRACT FOR MAJOR CORPORATION

Purpose:
Selected candidates will provide staff or field loss/fire prevention engineering services; may support proponent departments engaged in exploration, drilling, producing, distribution, refining, project support, transportation, gas/oil processing construction and/or service activities and assist them with implementing safety management system objectives and expectations. They will also assist with establishing safety goals, measuring the effectiveness of safety processes and initiatives, and identifying and resolving major safety concerns. They may also provide safety support to capital or other projects. Incumbent functions independently or in team assignments and reports administratively to the unit supervisor.

Minimum Requirements:
Education:
A Bachelor of Science Engineering degree in one of the following: engineering disciplines: chemical, fire protection, civil, mechanical, electrical, OR A Bachelors of Science degree in occupational safety, science, or chemistry.

Experience in the hydrocarbon, petrochemical, or related industries:
At least 2 years experience in safety/loss prevention areas such as safety program development, motor vehicle fleet safety, fire prevention, hazardous materials, qualitative and quantitative risk analysis, process safety management, process hazards analysis, incident investigation and the development and implementation of safe operations procedures and processes.

General:
An ideal Loss Prevention/Safety engineer will have a degree in engineering or physical science and several years of experience in petrochemical or ancillary industries in the field of loss prevention engineering. The candidate must be familiar with industry safety standards and safe work practices and knowledgeable in standard operating procedures, including permits to work, lockout/tagout, confined space entry, job safety analysis, management of change, risk/hazard analyses, process safety management and development and implementation of a risk management program.

The candidate's experience should be in one or more areas, such as, onshore/offshore exploration/production/drilling operations; hazard identification and control; regulatory compliance; safety management system; contractor safety management; emergency response and crisis management; incident investigation, analysis and prevention, traffic control, fire prevention, health physics, hazardous materials, qualitative and quantitative risk analysis, process safety and accident investigation.

The standard working day will be 8 hours and the salary for this position is negotiable. The package will include allowances for accommodation, flights, life assurance, medical cover and car.
