Description: - LWD/MWD - Wyoming (1207161) Job Description LWD/MWD - Wyoming ( Job Number: 1207161) Role Synopsis At Baker Hughes, the MWD LWD Field Specialist makes use of the LWD (Logging While Drilling) and MWD (Measurement While Drilling) tools within the drilling system. This position is responsible for providing quality data and solutions at the well site by taking into consideration and reviewing a variety of factors. Working under general supervision, this position will rely primarily on hands on experience and classroom based training. Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities Under general supervision, provide resolution to problems of moderately complex scope at the well site where analysis of situations or data requires a review of a variety of factors. Operate and maintain LWD/MWD surface systems and downhole tools at rig site. Interpret downhole data and communicate with directional drillers, company men and geologists. Exercise judgment to determine the appropriate action at the well site by relying primarily upon hands on experience and classroom based training of standard principles, theories, concepts and techniques. Recognize the operational status of field equipment at the well site and maintain it when appropriate. Execute other related duties as assigned. Conduct all business activities in accordance with Baker Hughes HSE policies, Legal Compliance requirements and Baker Hughes Core Values. Basic Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Good mechanical aptitude Ability to work a 24 hour on-call schedule and work long periods of time away from home Ability to travel 100 percent and live on-site at the rig while on duty Ability to work in teams effectively; excellent written and spoken communications skills and excellent computer skills Desired/Preferred Qualifications BA degree in Geology, engineering or another technical field. 2+ years oilfield industry experience in a related service environment in or directly associated with field operations Previous LWD/MWD experience Demonstrated proficiency in the skill profile required for the delivery of Logging while Drilling services at the well site. Successful completion of advanced technical training and assigned wellsite development programs. Ability to work well and communicate well with others.
