We are currently seeking Machine Operator A/B candidates to support the Material Handling Solutions Division in the Tupelo, Mississippi area.
Job Description
While working under limited supervision, this position will review work orders, blueprints, or follow verbal instructions for job routing, calculating accurate machining and determine set-up times needed. Additional responsibilities include selecting required raw materials, performing hardness tests, calculating speeds, and feeds and depths of cut and tapers for machining of material. Position selects appropriate machine tools; tooling and fixtures needed for task along with programming tooling path via CNC or other programmable methods as needed and will perform machining operations using both manual and CNC machine tools. Adheres to ISO quality standards. Adheres to safety standards. Checks part dimensions and correctly evaluates all level II non-destructive test examinations. Completes all administrative tasks timely and accurately. Completes inspection reports as needed. Performs preventative maintenance on machine tools. May train or assist in the training of other operators.
Other duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Required Experience
0-3 years machinist experience
0-3 years CNC experience
Ability to read simple to complex mechanical blueprints
Understand geometrical tolerance concepts and proven ability to apply concepts
Experience in using hand gauges, micrometers and related measuring instruments
Experience with products or components related to the MHS business
Experience operating the same or equivalent machine tools
Required Education
High School diploma or GED
Comments
Work Environment:
Manufacturing facility with regular exposure to power machinery, varying heights, high noise levels, welding, moving components, grease, dirt, sharp objects and varying temperatures.
Physical Demands:
Position requires standing, walking, climbing, bending, stooping, crawling and lifting of up to 50 pounds numerous times daily. PPE will be required.
Shift:
This is a 2nd Shift position.
