Machine Shop Technician 1st Shift Job in Sullivan 61951, Illinois US
Major Duties and Responsibilities
· Setup, program and operate all C.N.C. equipment in machine shop.
· Establish setups for a variety of machine tools.
· Fabricate special fixtures needed to perform task completion.
· Be able to operate all precision measuring instruments.
· Setup and run manual lathes, mills, etc.
· Must support all engineering, production and customer needs.
· Program C.N.C. equipment with Gibbs Cam software and Mazak conversational programming.
· Make finished parts from blue prints
Education and Experience
· Technical School; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education experience
· Must be proficient with Microsoft Office
· Must be able to read blue prints
· Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment
· Sense of urgency
· Effective multi-tasking skills
· Demonstrated innovativeness and creative ability
· Willingness to take ownership and participate in “hands-on” projects
