Accountabilities:
- Demonstrates solid understanding of equipment applications and servicing in manufacturing process. Able to implement preventive maintenance.
- Applies in-depth understanding of the process flow of all parts through the manufacturing/repair process.
- Applies in depth proficiency in all data entry systems and processes.
- Capable of reading prints and drawings.
- Displays thorough understanding of the Daily Accountability Process. Ensures that individual performance supports the site's efforts at maintaining performance standards in the areas of safety, cost of scrap/rework, on time performance, direct labor hours, manufacturing $/Hr and overtime $/day.
- Possesses solid understanding of tooling design concepts and their use in alternative manufacturing processes. Works closely with other machinists and management in the installation and application of common machine tooling.
- Performs all aspects of manufacturing within production standards. Capable of identifying deficiencies and making improvements to production techniques in order to improve proficiency.
- Demonstrates an in depth ability to communicate all manufacturing processes to peers and supervisors.
- Demonstrates thorough understanding of inspection equipment, their functions and uses in order to ensure that all manufactured parts are machined within tolerance limitations.
- Ability to operate horizontal boring mill, Manual mills and lathes with little or no supervision
- Supports and participates in CIP processes.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Excellent mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to work independently as directed.
- Rotating equipment experience is highly-preferred.
- Some pump assembly and disassembly experience is highly-preferred.
- Welding experience is a plus.
- Balancing impellers a plus.
