Keane currently seeks a Mainframe Systems Analyst to join our team in Central Illinois.
This person selected for this rolewill be a member of an existing team provide support to custom developed Health insurance applications. He/she will work closely with our business analysts and business partners in Corporate Health to support the goals of our Health Insurance business and overall enterprise initiatives. They will complete the various tasks and activities of a systems analyst and other relevant activities.
1. Research/resolution of production and development issues.
2. Identification, design, and implementation of service requests.
3. Participation on project activities related to Health systems.
4. SPOC for Health Systems to other areas who touch our systems, such as Print, Agency, FDW, etc.
5. Support and monitor overnight batch jobs as second level support.
6. Provide training, mentoring and coordination as needed.
The primary technical skill for a Health Systems Analyst is PL/1. Other technical skills include DB2, IMS, JCL, and SAS. Knowledge of PL/1 is mandatory, and experience with Health insurance application support is extremely desirable.

- Knowledge of Health Insurance Products
- Health Underwriting and Claims experience and Health Individual Claim Systems knowledge with exposure/experience in EDI processing desired.

Experience:
The position requires a person with technical skills in Host Mainframe to provide Service and Project Support for customer solutions supporting insurance applications. The preferred candidate will possess outstanding interpersonal capabilities and communications skills (written and oral), strong problem solving skills, a history of successful software coding/development and analysis experience and highly developed Unit Test skills. The selected individual will be responsible for coordinating work distribution to an offsite team and managing the work assignments to ensure timeliness of meeting deadlines within budgetary limits and with high quality deliverables.
