Our client is looking for a Maintenance Engineer for their factory based east of Manchester city centre. This is a permanent job and an excellent opportunity to join a successful, global company.
The successful candidate will be ideally multi-skilled or be electrically-biased with some basic mechanical skills. The role reports into Maintenance Supervisor who reports into Engineering Manager.
Duties:
- Day-to-day reactive maintenance in the factory
- Planned maintenance and process engineering
- Electrically-biased, but will need some basic mechanical experience as at times you may be the only fitter on shift
- Must be used to industrial, heavy engineering environment and shift work
- Must have 17th Edition
- Experience of working with furnaces, paint plants, heat treat processes, welding is desirable
You will be part of a team alongside 1 mechanical fitter, 1 electrical fitter and 1 supervisor
The shift pattern is double days with alternate weeks of 6am-2pm, 2pm-10pm. Overtime will be expected, because weekends are the time when the machines aren't running and maintenance/repairs can take place. Overtime is run on Saturdays and Sundays 7am-12pm on a rota.
