Our Client based in Baglan, just outsite Port Talbot in South Wales is a leading global developer of premium cleaning, sanitising, maintenance and repair products and services for a number of markets. They have a proud history of delivering service, innovation and continuing growth. This has lead to their requirement of a Maintenance Engineer.
Reporting to the Engineering Manager with the purpose to maintain and improve all serives, equipment performance standard and efficiencies.
Other key responsibilities of the Maintenance Engineer include:
- Engineering improvements of production processes and services to improve equipment efficiencies and maximise available production time
- Achieve planned maintenance schedules for equipment and services and continually up-date to ensure equipment performance targets are achieved
- Ensure all critical safety inspections and checks are completed
- Manage small improvement projects from design to completion
- Support as required installation, commissioning and achieveing on line targets for new equipment
The desired candidate will be an experienced multi-skilled mechanical bias engineer with electrical knowledge. A Maintenance Engineer with knowledge of H. Vac system, Tig Welding, GMP understanding along with Lean and Clean Room experience would be an advantage.
General hours of work are Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm, which would be flexible depending on the production or engineering work that is required. The Maintenance Engineer needs to be able to work overtime and available for call outs when required. Although this is a 6 month contract there is chance of a permanent role if targets are achieved.
