Maintenance Lead
FT Position available in Brampton, ON
The Maintenance Lead will work closely with the Fleet Manager and will be responsible for delegation and supervision of maintenance and service work provided by our vendor. The Maintenance Lead will also perform inbound and outbound inspections of the fleet, noting and communicating damages, maintain computer records including floor plans, unit specifications and readiness status, use Microsoft based programs and maintain email correspondence. The candidate for this position will be required to perform service work on fleet when required.
Key accountabilities
- Oversee, train, and coach other service Maintenance personnel daily
- Troubleshoot and correctly identify maintenance problems/solutions
- Ensure workplace compliance to quality, ModSpace safety and environmental programs
- Conduct inbound and outbound inspections of modular fleet. Recommend repairs; develop and adhere to repair budgets to meet business standards upon inbound inspection of units
- Confirm, change, add and update unit specifications and floor plans including utilizing a variety of computer software
- Dispatch service technician for service calls
- Enter job scope and time into computer and complete inspection and repair paperwork
- Order and maintain inventory of repair and parts supplies
- Maintain shipping and receiving files
- Perform needed repairs (i.e. carpentry, painting, electrical, and plumbing) without instruction
- Perform repairs, maintenance, and cleaning on branch facility/yard as required
- Clean modular units with industrial strength products
- Operate onsite vehicles to move parts or equipment
- Operate service vehicles as needed to pick up and/or deliver parts or equipment.
- Perform other duties and projects as assigned by the Branch Manager or designate
Requirements
- Has minimum of 8 years of general maintenance/carpentry, electrical, and plumbing experience
- Has knowledge of carpentry, painting, electrical systems, and plumbing
- Focused on customer service
- Prioritize tasks and manage time to meet deadlines
- Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
- Perform job responsibilities without supervision
- Show up for work as scheduled and on time
- Work with others in a professional manner
- Work in accordance with established safety procedures
- Has basic reading and writing skills
- Has basic computer skills and can learn new systems
- Hold a Valid Driver’s License
- Work overtime as needed
