EXPERIENCE: In order to be COMPETITIVE for this position, you MUST have:
• At least 5 years' experience as a Manager of Plant Maintenance in a 24/7 continuous process manufacturing organization.
• Experience dealing with a unionized maintenance workforce.
• Extensive and in-depth experience IMPLEMENTING a significant continuous improvement program.
* A P.Eng. License and a PMP designation are HIGHLY DESIRABLE.
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Our client is one of several Canadian manufacturing facilities belonging to a major, global manufacturer of a widely diversified range of construction products. They boast over 20,000 employees worldwide and have embarked on a major continuous improvement program for all their facilities.
Consistent with the Strategic Corporate Objectives and company core values, the Maintenance / Engineering Manager will manage all aspects of equipment and facility maintenance of the plant, coupled with leadership of the engineering activities associated with related design, cost estimation, selection/construction installation, and compliance with provincial and federal environmental standards. S/He will act as an evangelist for the on-going drive to implement a truly world class continuous improvement environment.
The Maintenance / Engineering Manager will manage 14 salaried staff and through them all unionized maintenance trades.
SALARY RANGE: To $100,000 plus bonus to 10%.
EDUCATION: Engineering Degree mandatory.
