• Move levers to position dredges for excavation, to engage hydraulic pumps, to raise and lower suction booms, and to control rotation of cutter heads.
• Start power winches that draw in or let out cables to change positions of dredges, or pull in and let out cables manually.
• Pump water to clear machinery pipelines.
• Lower anchor poles to verify depths of excavations, using winches, or scan depth gauges to determine depths of excavations.
• Reliable attendance record
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 2years experience dredge operation.
Have a desire to participate in the overall effort to keep all operations running smoothly and cleanly.
Good depth perception, including the ability to judge which of several objects is closer or farther away from you, or to judge the distance between you and an object.
Ability to quickly and repeatedly adjust the controls of a machine to exact positions.
Knowledge of machines and tools, including repair and maintenance.
Must be willing to follow all safety procedures.
Basic computer skills, preferred.
