The Design Group Mining Division in collaboration with our client, a Global Leader in the Energy sector, is looking for an experienced Maintenance Scheduler for their Mining operation.  Reporting to the Planning Projects Lead, you will be responsible for the following core activities: 

 Key Responsibilities:

·         Work with Cross Functional Groups to create approved schedules

·         Manage scheduling effort for updating and reporting needs of the business

·         Coordinate outage plans into schedules and provide updates for critical path, cost, variance and performance analysis

·         Work with Contracts and Field Execution groups in scheduling external resources

·         Provide recommendations and schedule drafts to the Cross Functional Teams on resource utilization and Preventive Maintenance program management

·         Participate and lead risk management discussions of work execution timing

·         Promote Central Maintenance Organization through integrated scheduling

·         Database Administration

o    Maintenance Items, Maintenance Plans, Task Lists

o    Ensure the business process is followed to document and receive approval for all changes in the database

o    Manage requests and approvals

o    Reporting annual PM forecasts and level capacities

o    Identify Continuous Improvement opportunities

o    Bill of Material's, Assemblies

o    Training for field / new hires

 

Key Qualifications:

          5 years related industry experience.

          SAP and Primavera administration experience.

          Excellent Interpersonal and communication skills.

          Strong commitment to continuous improvement and safe operations.

          Ability to build good, respectful working relationships.

          Flexible with travel.

          Ability to work future Fly In / Fly Out roster from either Calgary or Edmonton.
