Maintenance Supervisor
DESCRIPTION:
- Oversee mechanics on one shift operations of the plant processing equipment.
- Projects (i.e. improve operation efficiency and manufacturing safety).
- Provide Food Safety, Health Safety, and technical training to employees.
- Keep the Plant Engineer and Asst Plant Engineer, management, and associates informed of plant operations, improvements projects, etc.
- Assist Parts Manager in ensuring an adequate supply of parts is maintained for all 3 processing maintenance shifts.
- Maintain vacation schedules, time reports, corrective actions for employees in accordance with company policies.
- Complete corrective maintenance work orders, preventive maintenance work orders, and the PIP list.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:
- High School graduate or GED required.
- At least 5 years experience in food processing maintenance desired.
- Good oral and written communication skills, ability to prioritize.
- Ability to motivate and influence team members.
- Good understanding of HACCP, USDA, OSHA, and EPA regulations.
- Proficient in cost reduction methods.
