Major Gifts Officer - Events

The Major Gifts Officer - Events is responsible for the planning, management and logistics of all fundraising events in the region and for identifying, cultivating and soliciting current and prospective event sponsors in partnership with Major Gifts Officers.  In conjunction with Region Leadership, the Major Gifts Officer Events will determine the annual plan for events including financial goals and objectives.  He/she will be responsible for supervising those assigned to coordinate and support events including the Major Gifts Associate Events.The Major Gift Officer Events will be responsible for meeting an annual revenue target and supervising the Major Gift Advisor Events.  Requirements:  Bachelor’s degree in public relations, communications, business or related field; advanced degree is highly desirable.  Experience:  Minimum 3-5 years of fundraising experience in special events required.  Significant expertise with the area’s funding community highly desirable.  Progressive experience in event management and knowledge of events "best practices". This position requires travel within the region. The amount will vary depending upon size and geography of region.  Salary:  TBA; Benefits:  TBA.
