Management Accountant (PROJECTS)
A pivotal business to the financial services are currently recruiting for a key appointment to work in their Financial Crime Division. This is a 12 month contract with the possibility of permanent work.
As a true finance partner you will understand what it is like to manage a wide range and volume of projects ensuring budgets are managed appropriately across the whole division. Whilst there is a reporting line to the core finance team, this role is stand alone with the business division (approx 60m) and will require an experienced management accountant, ideally from a professional firm to understand what the casing of costs of looks like.
Key duties and responsibilities will include: compiling the annual budget across the division, submitting forecasts, monitoring of external cost spend, challenging on forecasts, delivering of insight, compiling of management accounts, production of MI etc.. This role will sit within the business unit and so will require someone with the relevant PQE to be able to challenge the processes, systems and numbers presented to ensure accuracy is maintained.
We are looking for a candidate that is qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA with strong project experience. Financial services knowledge is not necessary. Good academics, an outgoing personality and tenacity is a must.
