Corporate Operations Group (COG) provides specialist professional services, human resources, workplace infrastructure, and technology and market operations to Macquarie's businesses. The primary purpose of COG is to support and enhance the value of Macquarie through the creation of an efficient, scalable operating model. This is evident across the activities of each of the divisions which comprises of Business Improvement and Strategy Division (BIS), Business Services Division (BSD), COG Business Management, Human Resources Division (HR), Market Operations and Technology.
Reporting to the Group Operational Excellence Lead, we require experienced Operational Excellence management consultants at Associate Director level and below to work within the Business Improvement and Strategy (BIS) team at Macquarie. The team offers consulting professionals significant personal and professional development opportunities; working with a high calibre team in a flat team structure allowing significant engagement with senior management across all Macquarie Groups and a unique blend of external consulting as well as internal business influence. The role offers long term career progression in BIS or elsewhere in the Macquarie group.
Responsibilities include:
- driving and delivering operational efficiency
- increasing revenue
- change management
- corporate and business unit strategy
To be successful in the role you will have:
- Bachelors Degree supplemented by an MBA or Masters
- significant experience in driving change and delivering significant bottom line results
- excellent relationship and stakeholder management;
- applied Lean, Lean Six Sigma or similar tools with clear bottom line results
- consulting experience ideally gained in a tier one / two consultancy with demonstrable understanding and implementation of consulting principles honed across a number of engagements across industries, preferably including banking
- In-house corporate business improvement/ strategic advisory experience from large, complex global corporate or financial services institution(s)
- excellent project management skills
- strong analytical and problem solving abilities
- well structured written and verbal communications
- strong achievement drive and results focus
