Management / Financial Accountant recruitment

The person will be responsible for all day to day financial accounting duties within the firm and ensure the smooth and professional running of group accounts and support in daily business operation.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the management accounting function across the groups companies

• VAT filing

• FSA filing experience is advantageous

• End of year audit

• Cash and trading income reconciliations

• Support trading accounts and operations

• Maintain proper and appropriate accounting and administrative records

• Perform related duties as assigned. Innovate in order to improve efficiency, control functions, etc.

• Keep up to date with accounting standard changes

Skills Requirements

• Qualified or Part qualified Accountant (ACCA/ ACA/ CIMA) required

• Strong academics which would include having a degree at a minimum

• Experience in practice or a financial services / trading organisation

• Advanced software and system application skills (Excel, MS Word, etc.) and ability to learn internal applications. Should be able to format financial statements using Microsoft word

• Able to develop and maintain accounting procedures

• Comfortable working in small team within an often highly pressurised environment

• Proactive and hands-on

• Excellent communication and strong critical thinking skills with the ability to identify and solve complex problems

• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability and desire to be flexible, reactive and work in a dynamic and fast-paced, environment and to meet deadlines and complete time-sensitive duties, as assigned

• Strong ability to multi-task
