An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Manager to join our Open Ended Fund Accounting (OEFA) team on a permanent basis. The department is comprised of a number of different functions responsible for NAV production, monthly oversight controls and statutory and financial statements reporting services for UK Open Ended Investment Companies, Unit Trusts and UK administered SICAV's and Dublin funds.
This purpose of this position is to manage Open Ended Fund Service delivery within a team of approximately 7 to 10 staff members, ensuring client commitments are met. The individual for this role is required to be threshold competent.
Key Responsibilities
Operational Excellence, Risk and Control
- Responsible for ensuring all client KPI's and service delivery commitments are being met
- Responsible for ensuring client and internal change is implemented with no detrimental impact to client service delivery
- Proactively review team processes to drive continuous improvement and efficiencies whilst also mitigating risks
- Ensure all processes are adequately documented within procedures and maintained
- Embed a strong risk and control culture within the team and adhere to the risk management framework
- Regularly assess risks within the team and ensure controls are working effectively, minimising control failings and corresponding actions
- Responsible for ensuring complete, accurate and timely error reporting ensuring preventative actions are suitably implemented
- Closure of actions following incidents, audits and reviews
- Management of the business continuity plan ensuring familiarisation within the team
- Responsibility for team efficiency, productivity and capacity management
Client Focus
- Management point of contact for Clients, Auditors, Trustees, Custodians and other departments within BNP Paribas Securities Services
- Develop internal and external client and stakeholder relationships
- Plan and manage Client, Audit, Trustee and Regulatory visits
- Embed culture of fund ownership providing for end to end knowledge and understanding
- Oversight of team service delivery
- Ensure corrective and preventative actions are implemented where deadlines and quality standards are at risk
- Responsibility for performance and KPI reporting
Staff Management and Development
- Manage a team of approximately 7 to 10 staff members
- Regular 1-2-1s and team meetings
- Coach, develop and train staff to maximise performance
- Succession planning
- Oversee TC regime of your team and ensure adherence to company policy
- Conduct interim and annual appraisals
