Sapient
Global Markets Market Initiatives practice (GM MII) is at the center of this
changing business environment and provides infrastructure and business advisory
assistance to trade associations, utilities and market participants alike. As a
Manager within GM MII you will play a key role in defining innovative
strategies to assist our clients navigate and succeed in the complex and
challenging business environments we are experiencing today. You will be a key interface to our clients
performing a senior role, or leading one of our many and varied infrastructure
assignments. Your up-to-date business and technical knowledge will be put to
good use in defining and delivering on clients' strategies to meet the challenges
they face in this rapidly changing business and regulatory environment.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Typical engagements
would be assisting with the design and delivery of Central Counterparty
Clearing (CCP), Over The Counter (OTC) Clearing or Regulatory Environment
projects; - Perform and actively
lead analysis to define objectives and requirements, so as to aid the
development of a compelling business strategy for clients/vendors that
meets their strategic goals. In turn it may also be necessary to carry out
and facilitate client interviews, workshops and presentations.
· Manage programs of work in accordance with projected timelines,
budgets and quality standards.
· Create
and present business solution options and support decision making processes
amongst stakeholders.
· Design
and facilitate change management processes.
- Structure
and price complex client engagements and monitor financial performance. - Guide,
mentor and grow business consultants. Actively guide, mentor and encourage
growth of other business consultants within Sapient. - Participate
in business development activities and manage senior client relationships. - Be an active participant within a community that provides
thought leadership, project support artifacts and analytical concepts for
use within the practice.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree.
- 8 years plus significant
work experience in investment banking industry. - Exposure to, and
strong understanding of a range of assets such as OTC products including Credit
Derivatives, Interest Rate Derivatives, FX, Equity Derivatives, either
from a business-as-usual or business analysis/project perspective. - Strong understanding
of the trade life cycle. - Exposure to Market
Infrastructure and Initiatives a strong advantage particularly: (i) Market
utilities; (ii) Clearing, or (iii) Market Transparency and Transaction
Reporting (DTCC ODRF, ISDA, Benchmarking or Market Metrics), or (iv)
Collateral Management. - Exposure to any of the
following execution, middleware/SDR, CCP or industry associations viewed
positively:
o Bloomberg VCON; TradeWeb;
MarketAxess; ICAP; MarkitServ; ICELink; DTCC; TriOptima; ICE; CME; Eurex; LCH;
IDCG; ISDA or SIFMA; Direct exposure to CCP development at Exchanges/Providers
desired
- Exposure to vendor
systems e.g. Calypso, Summit, Murex; Scrittura; Thunderhead, etc. - Experience in production
and review of business analysis documents (including Business/Functional
Requirements, Business Cases, Test Strategy and Approach). - Experience of working
on large, complex projects with multiple stakeholders. - Strong communication,
presentation, facilitation and negotiation skills. - Strong analytical and
diagnostic skills. - Travel
may be required as much of the work is done at the client site.
