Capabilities Required

Education:

• Degree in Banking, Finance ,Economics or Financial Accountancy

Experience:

• Minimum 8 years in Banking Operations

• Minimum 3 years in cash management environment

• Minimum 2 years in account opening environment

Technical Skills:

• Strong knowledge of account opening documents and regulations, KYC requirements , and signature verification, fixed deposits, cash ATM management

• Accuracy and reliability.

• Ability to meet deadlines whilst maintaining quality.

• Very good knowledge of Microsoft excel.

• Ability to work under pressure and within a team.

• Ability to use tact and diplomacy and maintain confidential information.

• Very good Analytical skills

Key Accountabilities

• Ensure staff adherence to bank policies, procedures and KYC requirements.

• Lead the cash account services team in their daily activities in order to ensure timely, accurate, and complete service delivery according to the established policies, procedures and SLAs.

• Authorize cash shipments and fixed deposits as per the DOA.

• Execute EOD review process of the unit’s transactions according to policy and procedures.

• Ensure proper adjusting entries are made for exceptions.

• Ensure logging any operational incidents to Risk Nucleus and monitor internal control implementations.

• Ensure maintaining daily cash liquidity for branch ATM requirements within vault insurance limit.

• Ensure staff complete registration and filing of all documents securely as per bank policy.

• Keep the staff at the highest level of skill and productivity necessary to meet unit needs and objectives.

• Assign and distribute responsibilities, in consultation with the head of central operations.

• Establish objectives and action plans of the unit and follow up on the progress.

• Develop processes and systems to enhance control and efficiency.

• Active follow up with compliance, Business and operations.

• Ensure adherence to high level of customer satisfaction.

• Answering queries related to the unit and recommend solutions.

• Respond to AML and internal audit reports and implement required rectification.

• Oversee the preparation of the management and regulatory reports and statistics.

• Coach, train and evaluate staff performance.
