In this role within the Performance Measurement and Research Division, you will support the delivery of quality patient care by managing all aspects related to the development, validation, production, and reporting of clinical audit and clinical review data and information. 

 

JOB DUTIES AND TASKS

 

1.     Manages and leads the development of the audit and review timelines and processes for the clinical practise which includes treatment guidelines, equipment, and drugs) within the EHSC and will:

    1. develop organization performance measures and develop audit to strategies to determine the organizations ability to meet the performance measures and where clinical performance standards/measures are not available, lead the development of the standards
    2. leads research activities and develops frameworks for audits and will:
      1. provides evidence of the impacts and effects which occur when compliance is not met
      2. conducts reviews to determine gaps between clinical performance and established and standards
    1. Manages data/information collection, warehousing and quantitative analysis processes.

     

    1. Present findings, conclusions and recommendations to senior and executive management and stakeholders.

     

    1. Manages additional research and evaluation activities:
      1. provides authoritative advice to managers and directors on new programs to ensure the development of logical linkages between the strategic objectives and program outputs
      2. leads the participation in, and direction of evaluation plans, strategies and key performance indicators for programs
      3. coordinates the overall design of data collection systems for new/existing programs to facilitate efficient/effective evaluations
      4. provides guidance and training in program evaluation
      5. develops RFPs as required; selects consultants, adapts standardized language to negotiate contracts and certifies performance.
    2. Staff Supervision:
      1. Responsible for the selection, training, performance, employee relations, and supervision of a team of research and evaluation staff to achieve results and meet project deadlines.

     

    The successful candidate will have Masters level training in quantitative measurement with 3 yrs experience in clinical performance review in a similar role, be able to demonstrate the ability to work independently, supervise a team, conceive, initiate, organize and manage projects. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are a necessity as well as the ability to work in a team environment. Experience in an emergency management system is an asset and periodic travel may be required.
