Manager, Collections & Recoveries

A Manager, Collections Recoveries, is required to design and implement credit management strategies that enable the Bank`s business across Personal Loan, Credit Card and PCA portfolios, in order to control lending risk, deliver sustainable growth and meet customer needs.

The Manager, Collections Recoveries, will be required to perform the following:
- Develop approaches to ensure effective collections and recoveries treatments including debt migration between products, developing common standards for concessionary treatment of customers in financial difficulty; and leading a coherent overall approach to the sale of distressed debt.
- Employ solid analytics coupled with the pragmatism to facilitate real change in operational process and practice backed by focus on doing the right thing for customers in hardship.
- Exhibit strong stakeholder management and a determination to overcome organisational barriers to achieve the right outcome will be vital.
- The role includes significant responsibility for forecasting, monitoring and delivering financial results, and establishing effective management controls.

The right candidate will be able to:
- Convey key principles behind credit rating systems (modelling assumptions, etc) to credit and non-credit specialists.
- Display a good understanding of accounting capital and macro-economic trends and considers implications when making strategic-tactical recommendations.
- Influence at Credit Risk and senior business committees regarding portfolio level issues.
