Job Description
The Manager of the Transactional Management Unit for Commodity structured Trade Finance is responsible for managing and mitigating risks relating to the on-going commercial operations within Australia.
You will be responsible for establishing best practice policies, processes and systems to deliver efficiently whilst addressing operational and related credit risk. Management of the team within is also a key remit including accountability for its continuing operations within the global risk framework.
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Leading a team of two here in Australia
- On-going transactional and collateral management
- Daily client position and facility monitoring
- Client liaison and problem resolution
- Assisting in the preparation and execution of Commodities and Structured Trade Finance facility documentation
- Assisting the Global Head with the establishment of procedures and framework
- Driving the delivery of a robust operational infrastructure and reporting
- Identifying and developing best practice systems and processes for transaction management functions
- Providing advice and guidance to both Clients and Stakeholders
- Assisting in the testing and implantation of new related systems
- Maintaining a high degree of commodity market knowledge relating to both domestic and international activities
The Successful Applicant
We are looking for an experience individual with a wealth of exposure to commodity and trade related banking in a managerial /leadership role. With in-depth knowledge of Commodities and Structured Trade Finance products, risk, mitigants, and customers you will have the ability to manage the end to end process.
We are looking for someone with a strong understanding of the marketplace and issues likely to impact on customer satisfaction and revenues. You will be a commercially focused individual with the capability to lead a team which fits into a broader, global framework.
