About the role
As a Compliance Manager, you will consult with and advise key stakeholders within Macquarie Securities Group (MSG) to ensure Macquarie continues to meet the obligations of its regulatory and compliance framework. An experienced compliance practitioner, your ability to engage, consult with and influence senior stakeholders will be critical to your success. You will be rewarded with a high level of autonomy and the opportunity to shape the role of Compliance within this important stakeholder group. This role also has the ability to gain exposure to the FICC market as the MSG and FICC teams working closely.
About you
- resilient and highly self motivated with the ability to make things happen
- tertiary qualified in Accounting / Finance, Law or another related discipline
- demonstrable compliance experience, ideally institutional equity market experience or experience of the changing regulatory landscape in the Australian equities market
- persuasive communication skills, both written and oral
- experience with regulators and industry bodies such as ASIC, ASX and AFMA

The Risk Management Group (RMG) is an independent, centralised unit responsible for assessing and monitoring risks across Macquarie. This includes market and liquidity risk, credit risk, compliance risk and operational risk. RMG personnel liaise closely with all operating areas to ensure risks are understood and properly managed.
Strong prudential management has been a key to Macquarie's success over many years. The Compliance Division within Macquarie's Risk Management Group provides compliance support and advice to Macquarie's operating businesses. Compliance staff are aligned with Macquarie's operating businesses, assisting those businesses globally to manage their compliance risks. These, together with a strong, committed team are key drivers of Macquarie's success.
Macquarie Securities Group ("MSG") is involved in a broad range of financial markets trading activities. Its services range from the provision of Sales and Trading activities to Institutional clients across Derivatives and Cash Products, Proprietary trading activity including index arbitrage and dual listed and hybrid trading, and the provision of Equity Research to Institutional Clients.
