Manager Corporate Development – Asia recruitment

Our client is a leading corporate with interests in retail, financial services, energy, resources and chemicals industries. It has a strong balance sheet, a reputation for delivering value for shareholders over the long term, and is very active in mergers and acquisitions.
The firm is looking to increase it's assets in Asia, and is looking to add an experienced manager to its local corporate development team as a result.

Experience required
The successful candidate will have worked in a corporate finance role in the region, either as an investment banker, private equity specialist or in-house corporate development officer.
He or she will have subject matter expertise in HKSE and SGX listing rules, and a proven track record (5-8 years) of executing MA deals in the Asia Pacific region.
Mandarin language skills preferred but not essential.
Responsibilities will include
Investigating new business opportunities for the firm in Asia
Liaising with investment bankers, CFO's COO's and senior internal stakeholders
Overseeing the evaluation of new investment opportunities
Working with internal and external parties to execute transactions
Mentoring and developing junior staff
