Manager, Credit Strategy

To design and implement credit management strategies that will enable the Bank`s business across Mortgage, Personal Loans, Credit Cards and Personal Current Account portfolios to control lending risk, deliver sustainable growth and meet customer needs.

The successful candidate will be able to perform the following:

- Support the complete ownership of credit risk policies for the Bank`s Risk to provide an effective and efficient application of Group Credit Policy, risk appetite, credit governance and applicable regulation-legislation.

- Support the development and documentation of Credit Policies ensuring credit capabilities become a key pillar of our overall competitive strategy.

- Support all industry, regulatory and governmental communication on credit risk management ensuring consistency with policy and all frameworks and laws.

- Provide expertise of credit lending practices to advise Director of Portfolio Management Credit Risk and Head of Policy on suitable lending of all asset classes in the Bank.

- Support the training and education of all staff and senior executives on governance frameworks, authorities to lend and credit policy.

- Support the credit governance structure for the Bank ensuring that it is robust and supports an efficient operating model.

- Display a good understanding of accounting capital and macro-economic trends and considers implications when making strategic-tactical recommendations.

- Be able to influence at Credit Risk and senior business committees regarding portfolio level issues.
