Manager, Enterprise Business Process Improvement Job in Newark 07071, New Jersey US
We are searching for an experienced process improvement leader to guide projects focused on driving cost and complexity reduction across the enterprise. In this role, you will develop solutions that improve process performance with division leadership and subject matter experts, define deliverables, structure project workplans, and provide thought leadership to solve the most complex process improvement problems while managing/motivating the Business Process Improvement (BPI) staff, marketing the BPI group to the broader organization, soliciting new process improvement opportunities and enhancing the customer experience.
Responsibilities include:
- utilizing various process improvement tools and methodologies
- anticipating and proactively managing program risks and issues
- ensuring deployment of common solutions and timely achievement of project deliverables
- assessing change readiness and preparing plans for helping stakeholders through change
- vetting new project opportunities and writing corresponding business cases
- reporting and communicating the results from process improvement efforts to key stakeholders, C-suite executive and other senior leaders
- providing training and mentorship on process improvement methods
- partnering with Finance to develop and track project metrics
- monitoring performance and improvement in key metrics
The successful candidate we seek will have a bachelor’s degree in engineering, business or technical discipline (Master’s degree preferred); a minimum of 10 years process related and 5-7 years business process improvement or process redesign experience; and 5-7 years supervisory experience with coaching/mentoring of BPI practitioners . Master Black Belt certification required (or must be obtained within one year of hire) in addition to Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certification. Proven project management and process management skills; strong knowledge of change management challenges related to process improvement and lean and Six Sigma methodologies; as well as MS Office products proficiency will be expected. Excellent leadership abilities and analytical/presentation/interpersonal/communication/organizational skills are essential. Healthcare or Fortune 100 experience preferred. Minimal travel is required.
