Requirement
Butterfield Fulcrum Group (US) Inc. is seeking a Manager of Fund Administration to work in its New York office. This is a unique opportunity to join a dynamic, fast growing organization.
The role involves managing multiple client relationships within BFG’s Global Operating Model. Each Manager is the single point of contact for each client, which requires the Manager to work closely with operational staff in the New York office and in other BFG offices globally. The successful applicant will also work closely with the Head of Operations in New York.
Core Responsibilities
- Establish processes and procedures for client relationship management
- Assist in the development and growth of the US Operations
- Assist the firm in rolling out its Middle Office service offering incorporating daily reconciliations, settlements, collateral management etc.
- Assist in generating ideas for maximizing client fee revenue
- Support in the design and implementation of operation automation projects
- Generate ideas for the improvement of the NAV process, technological requirements, client reporting and internal reporting
- Responsible for training and professional development of self and others in the team
- Co-ordinate new fund launches
- Ensure high level of customer satisfaction and retention
- Advise and contribute to the improvement in internal processes, transparency standards and reporting in order to match the highest quality standards set by the industry
- Perform other duties that may be assigned to you by Management from time to time.
The successful candidate should:
- Have a minimum of seven years’ experience in the administration of hedge funds
- Possess a recognized accounting designation, MBA, CFA or other relevant qualification
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Be proficient in the Microsoft Office suite of software applications
- Have a working knowledge of Bloomberg
- Be able to demonstrate a thorough understanding of funds, fund structures, fee calculations, trading strategies, financial instruments and fund offering documentation
Preference will be given to candidates who have:
- Performed a similar role
- Experience in the use of Advent Geneva
Candidates will be required to attend for interview, which may include conference calls with other locations. Candidates will also be required to sit an Excel based case study and industry knowledge test.
