Manager, Global Employee Relations Operations

Title: Manager, Global Employee Relations Operations Location: New York-New York Other Locations: This position, reporting into the Director, Global Employee Relations Operations, will be responsible for the management and execution of key initiatives within the technology-enabled transformation of the Global Employee Relations function. This position will work closely with the Director in all aspects of the solution delivery lifecycle, including timelines, budget deliverables, for the development and deployment of SharePoint solutions (databases, team sites, web portals, etc.) that will increase process efficiencies and knowledge management capabilities across the function. This role will partner closely with American Express Technologies, external vendors, as well as Employee Relations/Human Resources process subject matter experts from our major global markets in the coordination of transformational projects that will enhance the operational excellence of the Global Employee Relations COE, including severance process reengineering, legacy systems archiving strategy, and the roll out of a click-to-chat servicing channel. This role will lead the Project Management Office for the global redesign of the severance program, with a project scope that includes the development of global minimum standards, front- and back-end process alignment, and the development of a SharePoint-based platform that will enable next-practice intake, processing, and reporting capabilities. The incumbent will lead the development of workflows, tools, and standard operating procedures to support the internal roll-outs of a global team site and archiving databases. In addition, other responsibilities will include: participating in the development and maintenance of online self-servicing content, serving on a global platform governance committee, and preparing presentations, reports and other materials for distribution to Senior HR leaders and the broader Global ER organization. Qualifications: · Minimum of 3-5 years of professional experience in global technology-enabled transformation, demonstrating: strong project management skills; end to end change management expertise; business-driven process design; both analytical and business acumen; content/knowledge management experience; well-developed writing/editing skills; and proficiency in relationship management. · Demonstrated proficiency in working with the SharePoint platform, including the development of customized database applications, establishment and maintenance of TeamSites, and building intranet portals. · Strong knowledge of global HR best-practices in the information technology, operations, and shared servicing fields. · Must be willing to articulate a perspective or point of view, and able to influence and collaborate across multiple levels within the organization. · Proficiency with MS Project, Visio, Excel, and other project management and data analysis tools and applications. · A Bachelor's Degree in Organizational Effectiveness, Economics, Business, or IT-related field is required.
